The Berenstain Bears Think of Those in Need
One of the greatest gifts we can give our kids is an education in how to use money with wisdom and joy. And those lessons can start early with the help of books like this month's Recommended Resource.
In "The Berenstain Bears Think of Those in Need," the Bear family realizes they have more than they really need--more toys, more clothes, even more fishing rods than they could possibly use. And they discover how good it feels to give to those who don't have as much.
I'm not a fan of all of the Berenstain Bears books, but this one gets it mostly right.

“Matt Bell speaks from the convictions of his own life experiences. He exposes the lies that our culture tries to tell us about ourselves. And he lovingly tells God’s truth about the necessity for us to be stewards of God’s resources. Our adult Sunday school class loved Matt and were challenged to grow through his class.”
