Money, Purpose, Joy - Personal Workbook

The start of a new year is the perfect time to set financial goals and develop a spending plan that will guide you toward their accomplishment. But what's a reasonable amount to spend on groceries for a household of your size and income? How much should you allocate for vehicle maintenance, clothing, and entertainment? The "Money, Purpose, Joy Personal Workbook has the answers.

In addition to many exercises, forms, and recommended web sites to help you go further in applying the ideas from the "Money, Purpose, Joy" book, the Personal Workbook includes recommended spending guidelines for four different household sizes (1-person through 4-person households) across nine different annual incomes ($30,000 to $150,000).

The spending guidelines are not meant to suggest a one-size-fits-all approach to spending plan development. Differing circumstances and priorities may lead households of similar size and income to develop somewhat different spending plans. However, the recommended guidelines can serve as a helpful, objective set of benchmarks.

“We had Matt come and speak at our Generosity Conference. He did our Debt Reduction breakout session, and Matt delivered the perfect balance of scriptural basis, practical tools, and humor for an excellent presentation. Our attenders not only raved about the session for weeks afterward, but they have put many of his tools into practice and are challenging one another through their small groups. I’d recommend Matt for any gathering dealing with stewardship and finances, especially as it relates to debt reduction and financial freedom.”
