Amazon for Groceries
Have you ever shopped for groceries on Amazon? There are deals to be had. For example, if you buy $49 worth of Kashi products during July you can get an instant $20 rebate. Their Cinnamon Harvest cereal, shown here, comes in 6-packs of 17.5-ounce boxes for $24.62. If you bought two 6-packs for $49.24 and then subtract the $20 rebate, that comes to less than $2.50 per box--a pretty good deal compared with grocery store prices. Plus, when you spend $25 or more, shipping is free.
An important key to buying in bulk is to not increase your consumption. Marketing researchers have found that when people buy the large size of many products, they tend to use more of the product per occasion. Another key is to know how much products typically cost in your usual grocery store so you can make accurate per-ounce or per-count comparisons.

“We had Matt come and speak at our Generosity Conference. He did our Debt Reduction breakout session, and Matt delivered the perfect balance of scriptural basis, practical tools, and humor for an excellent presentation. Our attenders not only raved about the session for weeks afterward, but they have put many of his tools into practice and are challenging one another through their small groups. I’d recommend Matt for any gathering dealing with stewardship and finances, especially as it relates to debt reduction and financial freedom.”
